As the MHL season is in its pre-season and the regular season is just around the corner, we have some local players on the roster this year. One of them is Daniel Moody, a Blackville School alumnus.
Moody started his journey in junior hockey after getting drafted by the Victoriaville Tigers in the QMJHL in 2016. He was then later traded to the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Moody stayed there for two season where he played a total 28 games, and had a GAA of 3.19.
Moody was then traded to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens during the 2018-2019 season. He finished the season their and then began the 2019-2020 season with them, but then got traded once again to Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
He played 6 games there, and is now returning to his home province to play with the local junior A team, the Miramichi Timberwolves.

Moody is looking forward to returning to his home province and local city.
“Im pretty excited,” said Moody. “Having been away for the past three years it will be nice to play in front of friends and family once again in my hometown."
"I'm looking to enjoy this time, as it’s my last year of eligibility for junior hockey,” he added.
Moody is already thinking about his plans after junior hockey.
“Playing at the university level would be a great fit for me. Playing major junior has given me the opportunity to continue pursuing a university degree while playing at a high level.”
You can watch Moody play at the Miramichi Civic Centre for the Miramichi Timberwolves.
