Timberwolves Diary: Wrapping Up Before Christmas
This weekend we have a 2 game weekend. We travel back to Campbellton Friday night to play our division rival in what is sure to be a good game at 7 at the Memorial Civic Centre. Last time we were there, we beat them 4-3 in a shootout thriller and led the division series 3 games to 1.
This was a pretty easy week at school only having a few tests to do. Hoping for a good last week of school before the Christmas break and enjoying the time off!

Eagles Win Their First Game in NBIAA Northern Hockey League Play.
Landon Coughlan, Defenceman for the Eagles |
In the first, the boys were flying and scored two quick ones on the power play. Scoring in the first for the Eagles was Preston who cracked the goose egg and Macaully popped the second one for the Eagles. The Eagles lead after the first 20 minutes.
In the second, the boys were starting to get into penalty trouble half way through and throughout the rest of the game. PLM scored two goals, but the Eagles bounced back with goals coming from Caiden and Jacob scoring with 0.2 seconds remaining in the second period. The Eagles were leading 4-2 after the second.

PLM then scored with 5 minutes remaining in the third, but the Eagles held on to win the game by a score of 6-5. They are now 1-2 in NBIAA Northern Hockey league play.

Timberwolves Diary: Big Division Rival Tilt
This weekend is a good and short weekend for us as we head to Campbellton for a Friday night game versus our division rival, the Tigers. This is the third time we are playing them spitting a hand apiece between them, but beating them 8-3 last time at home which was one of our best team games this year.
Personal Update
I have been back home for over a month now and things are finally starting to fall back into place, and I’m used to my new daily routine. Hoping to do well and finish strong in school and hockey before Christmas break.

The funds will go toward a District-wide effort to raise money for the Christmas Giving Tree hosted by 95.9 Sun FM radio station.
This is the fifth year for the event and Max Aitken Academy made a special call out to other schools in the District because raising the necessary funds has been difficult with COVID-19 restrictions.
The Giving Tree provides a gift to 500 senior citizens who reside in nursings homes. The goal is to raise $5000.00.

Timberwolves Diary: Another Two Game Weekend
This weekend we head to Edmundston to play the very strong Edmundston Blizzard. This team has a 5-1 record so far after 6 games. We were the only team that was able to get the win against Edmundston this year beating them 3-2 abs, spoiling their home opener in front of a sold out crowd.
Personal update
I’m finally all caught up with my school work and ready for a few big test s and assignments coming up in the next couple of weeks. I hope to help out the team anyway possible in another big two game weekend when points are very important, especially during these tough times with the COVID-19 protocols and everyone’s unsure of what’s going to happen next.

Eagles Hockey Pre-Season Comes to an End
Grade 12 student Preston Gillespie had a goal in every pre-season hockey game |
The boys are in a new league due to Covid-19. This new league is a mixture of AA and AAA of all the teams in the north.
In the first game of the year, the boys went to WAL - Tracadie. It was a tough first game and was an eye opener for the boys. The final score was 9-3.
The second game was in Renous and the boys played PLM - Caraquet. They started the game flying and finished the game the same way. The boys won 6-4. The third game the boys sent off to PLM and couldn’t do the same. They lost by a score of 6-4.
The final two preseason games were against JMH. The team was not playing their best and the scores showed. The first game the boys lost 9-3, and the second game 10-2.
Preston Gilliespie had a goal in every pre-season game.
The boys are looking to start the regular season off with a win against WAL this Sunday in Renous, at 2:15.

Timberwolves Diary: Two Big Games this Weekend
This week in the Timberwolves Diary we are hoping for a good weekend of hockey with 2 big games coming up on the weekend. Friday night we travel to Grand Falls to play the struggling Rapids who are still trying to find their way and get something going. So, it should be a good game in front of a very patient fanbase that they have up there in Grand Falls.
I am hoping for a good weekend of hockey and hope to help the team out as much as possible in whatever role I play this weekend. School-wise I am quickly settling into going to school everyday and making sure I’m caught up with all my work for every class. It’s definitely been a change from going every second day to school in Bathurst to going everyday in Blackville. For the most part, however, I am going only half days because of hockey.
