High School Student of the Week

Grade 9 student Abbie McCallister is the High School Student of the Week for November 22-26. Abbie was nominated by Mrs. T. Underhill.

Mrs. Underhill said, "Abbie has a great personality and puts forth a lot of effort in grade 9 math."

The other students nominated are Jaxon Jardine, Emma Hallihan, Kale Hallihan, Destiny McCormack,  Logan Aston, Breanna Curtis and Roman Stewart.

School Soccer 2021 Recap

The Senior Girls had an amazing season this year winning the first girls provincial banner in school history and to top if off they went undefeated all year. 

The Senior Boys soccer team had a season full of ups and downs. They lost a couple of players who were unable to participate, but were able to fight hard all season.

The middle school boys had a good season this year, but lost to Sunny Corner in the semi-finals. The boys played great all year and never gave up when the games got tough.

The middle school girls had a solid season this year and they played hard in all of their games - win or lose. The coaches would like to wish good luck to all the players moving to play in high school.

The two Elementary Soccer team battled it out for the KD cup on October 14. Team 2 was able to beat Team 1 in a very entertaining game and they were able to celebrate with the KD Cup. Both teams put up a great fight this year and played hard in all of the games.

High School Student of the Week

 Grade 9 student Tally Luce is the High School Student of the Week for November 15-18. Tally was nominated by Mrs. Stewart 

Mrs. Stewart said "Tally is a hard worker and collaborates with all of her classmates."

The other students nominated are Derek Gilchrist, Tessa Munn, Blake Curtis, Layla Hallihan and Lexie Sobey.

Students Participate in Overnight Canoe Trip

 

Blackville High School students in the Outdoor Pursuits class participated in an overnight canoe trip along the Cains river on October 13.

Senior Girls Soccer Team are the Provincial Champions

The Senior girls soccer team capped off an incredible season this year by winning the provincial championship. 

The girls played amazing all year and went undefeated in league play, earning them a place in the regional final were they defeated Rogersville to earn the first seed. 

The girls then played and beat Fredericton Christian Academy 2-0 to get to the finals where they would end up with a rematch against Rogersville. 

The girls defeated Rogersville by a score of 3-1 to be crowned provincial champions. The goals were scored by Emma Byl, senior Kensen Brennan, and senior Dakota Curtis.
