Elementary Cross Country |
Caleb Sturgeon was the recipient of the Ron Pauley Award. This award is given to a student who displays an overall interest and participation in sports while demonstrating good sportsmanship and is a good ambassador for Blackville Elementary.
Grade 2 student Graham Brophy and grade 3 student Mia Fortune were recognized for good attendance which means a student has missed only three days or less. Students who have perfect attendance for a particular month had an opportunity to have their names drawn for a $50.00 gift card. Marion Doyle received a gift card for April, Danika Crocker for May and Brady Hallihan for June.

Students from Blackville School participated in the Miramichi Salmon Association contest, and three students were recognized in the Printing and Art category. They included Grade 2 student Keira Doiron (2nd prize, printing) and Keira Doiron (1st prize, printing), and Grade 5 student Lily MacKeigan (2nd prize, art).
Many students were recognized for their participation in various groups and activities. These included cross country, choir, peer helpers and sports teams.
Awards were also given to students for Outstanding Scholar for maintaining a high academic standing throughout the school years. Additionally, students in grades 3, 4 and 5 who had high academic standing received Bronze B awards.

There was also a surprise award presented to a staff member. Bus driver Penny McEvoy received the Student First Award.
